lamb and calf day

on Thursday the 20th we had lamb and calf day. I had the cutest little thing of a lamb. His name is Yang. He is part Dorper a mystery breed and Arapawa. He has a cute little brown spot on his back and the rest of it is white. When we entered the ring he led really well and and he came when I called him. Which was a miracle. And the judges were surprised when he came to me and everyone clapped. He would have done even better if there was someone else. But in the end I got two firsts and a second which means that I got the cup.

twigg

Once upon a time there was an ugly troll called Twigg. He liked to eat royalty such as kings, queens, princes and princesses. Twig longed to eat the king of Sweden. Twigg’s house was an ugly house in an ugly village of ugly trolls. Twigg’s best friend was called Stik. Stik was brown and always sticky. Twigg’s other friend, Scratch, was an incredibly tall troll with big finger nails that instantly grow back when you cut them.

One day Twigg and his friends set off to the castle of Norrington to eat the prince of Norrington, Sir James of Norrington. When they departed they forgot the slug and bug milkshakes so stik ran back and got them. Finally they left to go right only to go left again to cross a scarecrow called Greg. Greg was ugly. He had to be ugly to scare away the magpies

The day I saved the day ... and a sparrow

It was a lovely Friday morning. A cold cold frost had gained I woke up and with a bang! I had stubbed my icy toe on the end of my bed ow! I got up out of bed and walked into the kitchen and made my brekkie . After eating it I went outside ready for school. Now this story was based before I moved down here. 
As I walked out heading towards the shortcut ( which as you may be wondering was a not so thick bush that soon after discovering it was rebuilt as a foot path and still may not be finished!) so anyway I walked down the short cut and saw a cat. I knelt and to pat it. Then seeing it had an alive adult sparrow in its mouth, I grabbed it out. Then seeing a dog I ran with both of them chasing me. So I put the bird in my pocket and grabbed my slices of luncheon; you never know when they could come in handy, and I threw them as far as possible. I got to the end of the shortcut before realising I had forgotten about my nephew !!!! 
Now his name was Shawn. He was a little short fella as tall as Jackson Hills. He was ginger with blue eyes. I ran back down the short cut and met him outside our door where I showed him the bird. He grabbed out his chips and fed it some. So we went to the dairy and bought some lollies. They were yummy. The end

My STARSHIP Experience

When we packed up to leave early on a Monday morning I asked, “How long are we going be in Auckland?”

Toni had a long reply of “We are staying at my mum's house in Helensville, then we are going to get my house at Ronald McDonald house, next checking you in at hospital and you are going to stay there for a few days, then we are going home”

I said, “Sweet”

Then we left to go to Palmy hospital to get our petrol vouchers. When we left Palmy we went to Feilding to get fuel. When we did Toni brought us a chicken cordon bleu.

When we departed for Auckland ‘Tenacious D’ came on. The song was called ‘The best song in the world’ by Jack Black. When we stopped it was in Ohakune, where we stopped at BP and had a pie. Then we departed for Trevor and Sue's house where we stopped and had a cup of tea and a biscuit. Then she gave us some grapes and we were off. When we got to Auckland we saw Ben, who is my older brother and Toni's mom. Then we had dinner which was yummy and I went to bed.

In the morning we went to Auckland at 12:00pm to check me into the hospital and to check Toni into her apartment. Toni checked me in and left to go do her checking in.

I met a kid named Bailey. He had something wrong with his calf muscle. He left within an hour of me being at the hospital but surely after that another kid came in. He was named Anthony and he had a curvy spin so he had a metal post on his wheel chair to hold his neck brace up to help his spine go straight. But on the 29/3/2016 he had a 8-10 hour surgery to put metal rods in his spine to completely straighten it. Well getting back to the story, he was 16 but get this … he was around about the same size as Lauren Gillespie which I think is pretty funny. When Toni got back I introduced her to Anthony. He was pleased to meet her.

Anyway, one of the nurses came in to do a pulse test. There was one strap that went around my index finger and one that went around the bit before your shoulder. It squeezed until you relaxed and it loosened up a bit.

Then it was dinner time. I ate the desserts first and so did Anthony. I could not be bothered eating the rest. Then Toni came with her laptop and I played tanki and so did Anthony. His name was Poulola. He was pretty good at it too. Then it was bedtime and I said goodnight to Toni and fell asleep at 11:00pm

Before that I was on Toni's computer in the morning. I wasn't allowed to eat anything before my surgery. When the nurses carried me on my bed downstairs I was really nervous because I didn't know what it would feel like when they gave me the anesthetic or what it felt like afterwards.

When I woke up Toni was there and I didn't know where my pants were and I had a blood drain to drain out all of the bad blood from where my surgery wound was. I was really sore when I woke up so the lady that was next to me gave me some pain relief through a thing called a lure in my hand.

When I got back up to the ward where I was staying I played on Toni’s computer. When Anthony came back from wherever he was he asked if I was ok and how much pain I was in.

I was pretty sore at that time so I said, “Quite a bit.”

He said, “Jesus Christ.” Then he got ready to go to the teen lounge which is a space where it is for 12 year olds and up. They have an Xbox, a playstation 2 and a wii. When he came back we played some tanki together. The nurse gave me lunch. It was yummy in my tummy. After lunch I watched TV on cartoon network. It was Sonic the hedgehog playing. I liked it.

Then it was dinner time. For dinner it was pork, mashed potato, vegetables, ice cream and jelly. The anesthetic made me not very hungry so I only ate the puddings. In the morning I had stale cornflakes, floppy toast and orange juice.

Then I had the drain pulled out and it felt like someone was burning my skin with a lighter. Then they changed the brace to a grey one which has dials on the sides that limits the movement of my knee. I said goodbye to Anthony when he was going to school at floor 1 in Starship and I played tanki with James and Johnny. I had lunch, which was a sandwich, a scone and some berry mousse which was yummy. After lunch I did physio to help me do crutches. After that I went to the teen lounge with Anthony. When we got there I saw one of my old school friends named Sahara. We played buzz on the playstation which was fun.

After that we went to Toni’s apartment. It was pretty fancy that night. We watched Karate kid. The next day we had breakfast in the shared kitchen. Then we went back upstairs to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and it was hilarious. When we left the lady gave us lego.

Then we went back to the hospital to have a check up. When we did we also were visitors of Anthony and his mum because we were an hour early. Me and Anthony split an easter egg and chocolate buttons. He also gave me a marshmallow lollipop. It was really sweet so Toni took the feet and the eyes. Then we went to the chemist to get my prescription which consisted of tramadol, panadol and ibuprofen.

We went back to Toni’s mums house for two nights and then travelled home.

My holiday

In the holidays on the 29th of December 2015

me and Phinece went to see grandma Barbara

She came to our house to pick us up she came with our great auntie Janet. That evening I watched star wars: a new hope on DVD it was great! The next day we saw star wars VII: The force awakens. There were some awesome characters like Kyloren,fn-2187,Po,Rey,Han solo,chewbaca and Luke-sky-walker. The next day I stayed the night at Bradley kings house we played some X-BOX then Marilyn Bradley and I played trivial pursuit and then wet to bed. And the very next day Bradley and I got up at 6:30 am and played mine craft and built a giant castle then we played Lego star wars for a bit then i went home for lunch and we took Bradley for a swim. Then Bradley played at grandmas house with me. the next day we went to cape palliser and i got to close to a seal and it growled. the next day  we saw charlie brown with Marilyn then we had lunch at the park and i patted an eel then we watched the movie then we went back to Bradley's house and played in his pool. me and Bradley made Lego boats and tested if they floated

Skiing

On Thursday the 15th of October 2015 we went to skiing on Mount Ruapehu. We had to get up at 5.30 to get to the Manning's house where we loaded into the car ready for the trip to Turoa. When we got there we parked the car and headed straight for the building where we got our helmets, boots, skis and poles. Then we headed for the ski field. It took me a while to get used to the skis but when iId gone for one run on the beginners part I pretty much had it sussed and then we had the lessons with our instructor James and he said that I was really good at turning and stopping and then when the lesson was over I played around on the beginners slope. But then Mrs Cuming gave me an all mountain pass and I went up with Blair and Sarah and Kesty. It wasn't mucking around because you had to do big turns and lean forward or you would go to fast and crash and to get up you had to go on the chair lift which went very high. On the last corner I bailed because I turned too hard and fell in a hole. When I got down I was very thirsty so I filled up my drink bottle at the cafe.
After the mountain the beginners slope was boring until some of the ice had turned into sleet. I went charging through that and got a little bit wet. Half an hour later the ski field was closing in 5 minutes so we took all of our ski gear off and headed for home. But we stopped at Taihape to have dinner at Mcdonalds. After that we found two people stuck at the river in Apiti so we took them to their house where their friends towed them out and then Kesty dropped us off at our house. My goal was to go down the mountain ... I achieved it ... and the weather... very good. Next year my goal is to not crash on the mountain.
