My holiday

 In my holidays I went swimming 10 times. I met lots of old people. Some had Alzheimer's and the rest were part of the Wairarapa lions club. They took us to Te Papa in Wellington. We went lots of places and after a week we went home.

Yaju's stay

This week Yaju from China came to stay with us for the week. We have learnt to count to ten in Chinese, make dumplings, do origami and finger painting. I hope that Yaju has enjoyed her stay.  

holiday pub

  On sunday the 5 of july 2015 

i went to helensville. On wednsday i went to jakes house. THAT NIGHT WE MADE SOMETHING SO DESGUISTING it would make yo puke inside your mouthmaking you throw up that puke making you so sick you just have to ... faint. inside it was tomato sauce 2 eggs 
 18 month old whipped cream onions butter milk sugar nutri grain and some weet bix.and i only got 20 minutes of sleep. the next morning we had weet bix and sugar and for lunch we had cheese toasteis.

Cross Country

On friday the 18th was cross country.

I woke up and got my uniform on and I packed a big lunch and put some water in my bag but later found out it was leaking ... but let’s not skip ahead of time.

Any way we left at 9:00am. We stopped in at the Cheltenham dairy and got an E2 drink and some grainwaves.

2 hours later

It was the start then with the blood curdling sound of the... clappers.

We started off to a good start. I overtook two people as I was coming to the first corner. We came to the fence. I jumped over then asing over I got lost on the gorge. We came to the swamp. I saw a man coming up the hill saying, “Do you have a radio?”

I came to the very end of the swamp then I saw Jacob on the ground so I asked if he was ok. He said, “Yes just carry on.” so I did.

The track wasn't even the most challenging bit ... I will tell you about the challenging bit later.

Up comes the finish line. As I ran past I could hear “do the dive do the dive” so I did the dive. Mud spattered everywhere! I ran to Dylan and we went to the toilet. We came out to do the dive off. We ran to where the dive off was. I ran and dived. There was mud all over my face and my body. I ran off to get washed up ... So I filled up a bucket and tipped it on my head. It was FREEZING I also hosed myself down so I was pretty much clean so I went to the toilets to get changed.

After that I went home and had a shower but there was not much hot water so it was a quick one. After that i had a

snoooooooze.

 

MUSHROOM REPORT

A BRIGHT RED FUNGI CALLED A TRUFFLE IS COVERED IN DIRT AND STICKS AND SLIME. IT IS ALMOST LIKE A MINI GOLF BALL. THE TRUFFLE IS RED WITH A WHITE STALK AND WORM LIKE ROOTS THAT HELP IT FEED.

the tale of Mr Jeremy Fisher/ summary

It's about a frog named Mr Jeremy Fisher and where he lives. He went fishing and he tried to catch a trout but he caught a prickly fish and all the little trout jumped out and laughed at him.
Then he caught a BIG trout which pulled him under soon spitting him out because of his Macintosh.
He was also expecting visitors. They came and their names were Sir Isaac Newton and Mr Alderman Ptolemy. But instead of a nice dish of trout, he had roasted grass hopper with lady bug sauce.

cheltnham fielding palmy ekatahuna levin until finally lowerhutt. where we met a guy named darryn he had lots of stuff for brewing. we spent 3 hours at the brewery and 3 hours home

Samurai Jack-fisher

Long ago, in the distant land of china.

the terrible aku roamed spreading evil across the land BUT there was a warrior who wielded a magic sword and his name was................................................JACK

after nearly defeating aku, aku opened a magic portal and sent him to a universe where aku was a ruler of all rulers where it was evil everywhere.

he went into a bar and asked for some tea. some guy walked up to jack and asked to do the knife song BUT jack said NO!!!!!!! and he ran off to find aku who ha just created an evil clone of jack. He was called... MAD JACK. when they met they had a giant battle until jack said i have already won. Mad jack said "noooooooooooooo"  And banished no longer to be seen. finally he found aku and chopped him up into little bits and put him in sushi. He returned home only to find his home land was in terrible terrible trouble

Weka inquiary

ANZAC day

On Saturday the 25 of April it was Anzac day.
We had to go to the old gas station. We had to wear our stripy uniforms.We did a little march to the hall were we made a human square So we could all see what was going on. If your wondering "hmm whats going on?" i'll tell you 
so listen carefully, we watched every body put there reeths up. Then we went into the hall and begun. Apiti school were the only people who did something. the first thing we did was sing some whole school song, those songs were 
daisy, pack up your troubles and Maori battalion.Then it was the ukuleles who sang in Flanders fields now the band we sang its a long way to Tipperary. The band was me Hannah and Jayda singing and Brooke on piano and huntah on drums. after all the stuff it was... LUNCH TIME!!!!!!!!!  There was Anzac biscuits fizzy and lots and lots of sandwiches. After that dylan came to my house

CAMP 4

DAY 4

WHEN WE GOT TO WELLINGTON WE WENT TO A RESTAURANT CALLED WAGAMAMA WHERE I HAD A DELICIOUS CHICKEN KATZU WITH A TERIYAKI SAUCE. ME AND DYLAN SHARED A BOWL OF GRILLED NOODLES THEN I HAD A RASPBERRY SORBET WHICH TASTED LIKE A RASPBERRY BOMB HAD JUST EXPLODED IN MY MOUTH. CHONEE GAVE ME A YUMMY DUCK DUMPLING. 
ON THE WAY HOME WE LISTENED TO MUSIC LIKE "MAKE YOU MINE" AND "HE YA" AND "STEP ON UP". 
I FELT AMAZED ABOUT HOW THE CAMP TURNED OUT. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BORING BECAUSE THE PAST CAMPS I HAD BEEN ON WERE NOT VERY GOOD. BUT THIS ONE WAS COOL AS WE HAD WAY MORE ACTIVITIES TO DO RATHER THAN JUST THE FLYING FOX, A WATER SLIDE AND A BUSH WALK. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT CAMP!

My goal was to describe the main bits of the story. To do this I chose interesting words and adding details.

day 3

As we boarded the Eco tour dolphin watch

we made a human chain to get the luggage on the boat. We went and saw a king salmon farm and a mussel farm. We saw lots of shags like King, Black and Spotted Shags. I especially enjoyed seeing the Hector dolphins. We saw some NZ Fur Seals. Finally after about three hours we arrived in Picton.

CAMP 2

Day 2

I think I saw one!!!! There it is!!!! I’ll chase it up! We were on SUPs (stand up paddle boards)

spotting stingrays. Me and Huntah saw a giant eagle ray the size of a boat oar.

Josie wanted a ride so she hopped on and I gave her a ride. When we first started me and Huntah were first on. After we had lunch I took Savannah for a ride. After that we had dinner.

CAMP 1

Day 1

I GOT ONE!!!! I GOT ONE!!!!

We were fishing for tiny fish on the jetty at Mistletoe bay. I almost got a spotty one and it was BIG. We were using mussels as bait

to catch them. Tyler caught the biggest one.

Dylan caught the smallest one. When we threw mussels in all the fish fought over them. Then big ones come and ate it. When we had dinner we left.

2015 Triathlon Writing

TRIATHLON

I woke up forgetting it was the triathlon. So I went down stairs. As I went down it hit me.

IT’S THE TRIATHLON! So I ran up to my room and got my sports uniform on, raced down again, went toilet made my lunch, said goodbye, got my helmet on and went to school on my bike. When Johnny got there we played bat down and lost my ball over the fence. I still don't have it. 
Then it was time “Year 6 boys to the start” 
“On your marks ... Get set ... Go”  I was coming third fourth fifth and eventually  eighth. 
The run was over. Time for the bike. I got on my bike and went as fast as possible and got third to last then second to last. 
Then the bike was over. The run to the pool was not easy. I got in and swam 1-2-3-4-5 and finally 6 lengths. I got out only to find that the fella behind me cheated and swam 4 lengths. I got my card for 13th place. 
The race was finally over and I was puffing like mad. I went and got my shoes and shirt from by my bike. I brought some lollies and a drink. I drank my drink and ate my lollies. 
It was time for the team race.

I went up to the start. My team was me swimming and running and Jackson biking. We started.
I was somewhere near last but overtook some fellas and got 7th. Then I tagged Jackson for the bike. After a while he tagged me for the swim.
We were still 6th until after the swim when I overtook some girls and came fifth. The triathlon was over so home and rest. 
Jackson and I came 5th with the team race and I came 13th with the individual race.
